Trust is the core product of RANT

Every account is tied to a verified email address and, for students, a phone number used as a login identifier. Identity is established against supporting documentation and recorded against the user’s profile.

RANT administrators and school staff can confirm a user’s identity against institutional records. Once confirmed, a visible verification status appears on the Passport — because nothing else on it can be trusted until the person behind it is known.

Employers are onboarded through a structured process: company name, primary contact, contact email, phone, and region are all recorded. Administrators review each organisation to confirm it is legitimate and that the contact is authorised to act on its behalf.

Only verified, onboarded employers can post jobs, review applications, and submit workplace assessments. An employer’s status is visible to users, so they always know precisely who they are engaging with.

Qualifications are recorded with their date, issuing institution, and supporting evidence. Wherever possible, they are verified at source — by the school or awarding body that issued them.

School staff and RANT administrators can confirm a qualification against institutional records. A verified qualification carries a visible verification badge and the identity of whoever confirmed it — so its origin is never in doubt.

A milestone is any demonstrated achievement — a completed project, a competition entered, a module mastered, a first paid job. Each can include evidence: documents, images, or links that show the work, not just the claim.

Verification can be requested from the user themselves, a peer, an employer, or an administrator — and the source is always recorded. Milestones move through clear statuses: pending, peer-verified, employer-verified, admin-verified, or rejected.

Every verification records who confirmed it, when, and under what relationship — forming a chain of accountability that travels with the record.

Workplace assessments are submitted by employers against structured criteria: attendance, timekeeping, reliability, teamwork, communication, professional behaviour, practical skills, problem-solving, and willingness to learn.

Assessments are not published unchecked. They enter a moderation queue and can be admin-verified before they carry full weight. Students who believe an assessment is inaccurate can raise a dispute, which is reviewed by administrators.

Employer recognitions and awards are bound by the same accountability, and can be withdrawn with a recorded reason. This ensures assessments reflect genuine, observed performance — not opinion.

Each user controls who can see their full Passport through visibility settings: public, employer-only, or private. Portfolio visibility is controlled separately from profile visibility.

Granular controls let users show or hide specific contact details — phone, email, WhatsApp, school, and qualification — independently. Employers only ever see what the user has chosen to share. Nothing more.

Consent is explicit and recorded. Users grant or withdraw consent for each distinct purpose — terms, privacy, employer matching, marketing, SMS, WhatsApp, school data sharing, and research. Every change is logged in a tamper-evident audit trail with timestamp, IP address, and device information.

Data rights requests let users download their data, request corrections, withdraw consent, or close their account entirely. Withdrawal is honoured across the platform, and a full history of every decision is retained for accountability.

The Passport belongs to the user. RANT is its custodian — never its owner.
